All of a sudden, i have been getting sharp pains right below my breats, seemingly behind the rib cage. They go away on their own after a while but it comes out of nowhere and is extremely painful.
Rib cage pain may be due to bruised, cracked, or fractured rib, osteoporosis, inflammation of cartilage near the breastbone, pleurisy. Consult doctor for treating the cause of rib cage pain. Physical examination and medical history is required to rule out the cause. Also, diagnostic tests such as chest X-ray may be included.
