I started having shooting pains in my abdomen 3 weeks after having a laparoscopy and now the pain seems to have moved under my ribs and its sometimes hurts to take deep breaths. Is this normal or should I be concerned?
It may be due to carbon dioxide that was used to fill the abdominal cavity during laparoscopy. Pain should be manageable with the prescribed pain medication. Everybody is different and take different time for recovery. There may be nothing to worry but still consult doctor. Good nutrition, rest and lots of water helps.
