Maintaining good personal hygiene is essential when caring for an itch. For immediate relief, wash the area with warm water and a mild disinfectant and then make sure to keep the area dry. Wear loose-fitting, cotton clothing to allow the area to breathe and to prevent moisture build-up. Avoid wearing tight-fitting or synthetic underwear as they accelerate the build up of moisture and are harsh on the skin. Try to use a mild detergent to wash clothes and undergarments as the itching could be an allergic reaction to the chemical ingredients of your detergent. Use a mild soap to bathe and preferably one that is not perfumed. It is also important to keep your nails clipped short so as to avoid injuring yourself and breaking the skin while itching. As far as possible, try to avoid scratching the area because breaking the skin may worsen the condition and lead to other infections.

Tea tree oil is a natural anti fungal remedy. Apply tea tree oil on the affected area after washing it thoroughly to help treat the itch. Honey is an effective antiseptic as well. Apply honey directly on the affected area twice a day and leave it on for an hour before washing it off. Increase the intake of garlic in your diet. Garlic is an effective remedy for curing an itch caused by a fungal infection. Reduce your intake of carbohydrates and fried and greasy foods.

Wash, then dry the area using a clean towel. Apply the antifungal cream, powder, or spray as directed on the label. Change your clothes, especially your underwear, every day. It’s important to continue this treatment for 2 weeks, even if symptoms disappear, to prevent the infection from recurring. If these steps don’t work, it’s a good idea to see a doctor. Sometimes, a doctor may need to prescribe a stronger antifungal cream, spray, or pill.

Wash the area thoroughly to remove soap and sweat with sufficient water during shower. Mix 5g camphor in 50ml coconut oil and apply on the affected part to get relief from itching. Stop using talcum powder because it will invite more bacterias to form after the area sweats. Dry the place with clean towel and make a habit of wearing underwear in your bed room in place of bath room after shower because the air will keep the area dried for the time it gets between bathroom and the changing place. In case the itching still persists, please visit a doctor for further diagnosis. Take care and be in good health.
