Lipidologists always have a primary board certification in another field as well - usually Cardiology, Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Practice, or Neurology. Some lipidologists care for lipids patients while also practicing their primary specialty. Others focus only on caring for lipids-related problems.
Dr. Liebeskind is board certified in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. This means she can see both adults and children with lipids (cholesterol) problems.
