Bronchitis is the inflammation and irritation of tubes (bronchial tubes)which carry air to the lung. The tubes swell and produce mucus and it makes you cough. And in chronic bronchitis, person have cough with mucus most days of the month and for 3 months of the year for at least 2 years in a row.
