When I get cold, mucus settles at vocal cord

When I get cold, mucus settles at vocal card and because of that my voice gets effected. Sometimes I won’t be able to speak at all. Then I go to an ENT Specialist and he gives Antibiotic and Anti-Allergy tablets. Is there any permanent remedy.

Try to improve your immunity by eating healthy food and exercising. Whenever you suffer from cold, try steam inhalation which will help to relieve congestion. For better result, you can add 1-2 drops of eucalyptus oil in the boiling water. During cold avoid diary products and junk food as it increases the mucus.
