Waking Up Between 11 PM and 1 AM

This time is associated with the gallbladder. This part of the body works to break down all the fat you’ve consumed during the day. Waking up during this time could mean that you need to switch to a diet with healthier fats. (source)

However, if you are experiencing feelings of judgement towards yourself or others, or resentment, that may be keeping you up as well. It is important to let go of the mistakes you or others have made and expel resentment. Acceptance and forgiveness are important.

Waking Up Between 1 AM and 3 AM

The liver is being refreshed during this time, and we all know how important the liver is. Waking up at this time could mean that the liver has too much work to do (too many toxins to deal with). Fixing your diet and reducing alcohol consumption will help. (source)

Anger, guilt, and rage are all associated with this time. An excess of any of these feelings could cause you to wake up. It is important to try to release that anger and try to see clarity in any troubling situation.

This is the time when the lungs collect oxygen and move it to all the other systems in preparation for a new day. It is also when they remove toxins that may be present. Waking up and coughing during this time could be a sign that you need to consume healthier food or breathe cleaner air. (source)
