why does a 24month old child wake up from a dead sleep and throw up

my grandaughter wakes up in the middle of the night and throws up. she is not sick or anything. could it be stress?

Teething can awaken and so can dreams. As active dreaming begins at this age, dreams can be pretty alarming. Nightmares are particularly frightening, who can’t distinguish between imagination and reality. Select the TV programs carefully, if she sees before bedtime.
Comfort and hold your child at these times and stay until your child is calm. Let her talk about the dream if she wants to, then encourage her to go back to sleep as soon as possible.
