There is the sound of crackling coming from my inner ear when I pull my lobe downward, but only in the left ear. I work in a grooming salon and frequently wear earplugs when working with forced air dryers. Could it be stray dog hair being pushed into my ear? I have a feeling it’s not, maybe built up wax. Qtips bring up nothing, usually clean. I flushed with hydrogen peroxide once and the noise was gone but only for about 45 minutes. I am aware that tweezers are unsafe for insertion into the ear canal. Is there anything else I can do, or should a doctor be seen? I have no pain, discomfort, or blockage; I actually hear out of the affected ear just as clearly as my other ear.
