Quitting smoking is the single most effective and also least expensive way to slow the progression of the COPD.
People should take action toward making appropriate lifestyle changes that may help them live longer and healthier. So, implementing positive lifestyle changes also influence COPD life expectancy.

COPD patient require much more calorie. Eating a healthy high-calorie diet may not cure COPD but it will help to maintain and gain weight, fight infections and boost immunity.
Eat calorie rich food four to six times throughout the day which is well tolerated. Eat protein rich, high calorie food. Also, add dairy products in diet.
Include starchy vegetables and high calorie fruit along with dry fruits.

Most important QUIT SMOKING.
