I have had a dental abscess at the back of one wisdom tooth. Although the abscess is gone, there is active sepsis around the surrounding gum and around another wisdom too. Was initially given a 5 day course of Cefalexin 500mg x 3 daily. Currently on second day of a 5 day course of Metronidazole 400mg x 3 daily. However, the infection is still present. What should I do? Thanks for your help.
