I have a small round brown slghtly raised spot on my lower back left side. I was told it is an age spot. But there are time that it itches and I don’t know how to get it removed or stop the itching.
Age spots sometimes accompanied with dryness and roughness in that area. It itches may be due to dry skin. There are over-the-counter creams that claim to fade age spots, they might work a little but are much less effective than the prescription creams.
As the age spot are not caused by aging but by exposure to the UV light of the sun. Avoid exposure to sun through wearing protective clothing and simply not being out in the sun too much. You can also prevent age spots by using sunscreens.
