Common adverse effects include headache, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, fatigue, and dizziness.
Infrequent adverse effects include rash, itch, flatulence, constipation, anxiety, and depression. Also infrequently, PPI use may be associated with occurrence of myopathies, including the serious reaction rhabdomyolysis.
